New Fare Structure for Non-Residents Effective May 5, 2026
Under the direction of the Government of Puerto Rico and PRITA, fare increases for non-residents on inter-island routes will take effect on Puerto Rico Ferry on May 5, 2026. As of that date, all passengers purchasing tickets for inter-island service will be charged the updated fare based on their residency status.

Vieques Residents
To avoid paying the non-resident rate, Vieques residents can register directly through the Municipality of Vieques.

CULEBRA RESIDENTS REGISTRY

Residents of Culebra can avoid paying non-resident fares and fees by registering with the Municipality of Culebra and presenting their municipal residency certificate to Puerto Rico Ferry. Once the application is approved, residents can begin purchasing discounted tickets for adults and children. You can submit your proof of residency in Culebra online or in person at the Puerto Rico Ferry ticket office.

Residents must register AND Be approved by Puerto Rico Ferry PRIOR to purchasing tickets at discounted fare.

*Vieques residents: Vieques residents must complete the registration process directly through the Municipality of Vieques.
